Obituary


BARRY, Ralph Bradley Age 63, of Ormond Beach, Florida, and West Roxbury, Massachusetts, died on February 9, 2024, at his Florida home. Ralph was born in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, on October 5, 1960, to Mary (Bradley) and John Barry. He attended Don Bosco Technical High School and East Boston Trade School, and he studied at the Wentworth Institute of Technology. Ralph recently retired as a Journeyman Ironworker, Steward, Foreman, and Certified Welder-Rigger at the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental, and Reinforcing Iron Workers (Local 7). His "high steel" work had him soaring above the Boston skyline, building landmarks including the Zakim Bridge.

Ralph was preceded in death by his mother, Mary; father, John; sister, Dianne; nephew, Stefan; and friends too numerous to list. He is survived by his sisters, Elizabeth, Joan, and Joy; brother, David; nephews, Damian, David, Daniel, Nicholas, and Benjamin; nieces, Kelly Caulfield and Serena; grandniece, Olivia; and grandnephew, Cameron. A celebration of Ralph's life will be held in Florida. A Celebration of Ralph's Life will also be held on Sunday, February 25, 2024, from noon to 4 PM, at the Boston Elks Lodge #10, 1 Morrell Street, West Roxbury, Massachusetts 02132, 1-617-323-1125.
